Privacy notice
Last updated: October 5, 2026
This notice explains what personal data Mi Planner Boda processes, what it is used for and how you can exercise your rights, in line with Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties.
1. Who is responsible
Edgar Hermosillo, based in Guadalajara, Jalisco, México, is the controller of your account data. For any privacy matter write to soporte@miplannerboda.com.
2. What data we process
Account data: name, email address and, if you sign in with Google, your profile picture. Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider.
Data you enter in the app: weddings and events (names of the couple, dates, venues), guest lists (name, email, phone, plus-ones, group, table and, if you enter it, dietary restrictions or allergies), vendors, quotes, contracts, payment receipts and files, amounts and budgets, tasks and business expenses.
Technical data: IP address, browser type and usage logs needed for security and for the service to work.
We do not ask for sensitive personal data. Note that guests' dietary restrictions or allergies can reveal health information: enter them only if you have those people's consent.
3. Our role regarding your clients' and guests' data
When you enter data about your clients, guests and vendors, you decide what it is used for and you are responsible for having their consent and your own privacy notice. In that case we only process it on your behalf to provide the service, and we do not use it for any other purpose.
4. What we use the data for
Necessary purposes: creating and maintaining your account, authenticating you, providing the service, storing your information, handling support requests and protecting the security of the system.
Additional purposes: sending you emails with reminders to get the most out of the service, usage tips, news, promotions and advertising for Mi Planner and our products. You can unsubscribe from these emails whenever you want with the link at the bottom of each one, or by writing to soporte@miplannerboda.com. You will keep receiving the notices needed for your account (for example, about your free trial or your subscription). Unsubscribing does not affect the service.
We do not sell your data and we do not share it with third parties for their own commercial purposes.
5. Who we share data with
To run the service we use providers that process data on our behalf: Clerk (authentication and organizations), Convex (database and file storage), Vercel (site hosting), Cloudflare (domain and incoming email), Resend (sending emails) and Mercado Pago (subscription payments; your card is captured there and not in this app) Google (usage statistics with Google Analytics and, if you choose it, sign-in). Some of them may process data on servers outside Mexico, including the United States.
We may also disclose information when a competent authority requires it by law.
6. Public quote links
If you turn on the public link of a quote, anyone who has that link can view it (names, event date and venue, line items and amounts) and respond from it. When they respond, their name, message and the date are saved. You control when the link is turned on or off. Files such as contracts or logos open through long, hard-to-guess links, but anyone with the link can open them.
7. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage: keeping you signed in and remembering preferences such as language and color palette. To understand how the site is used we measure visits with Google Analytics, which uses Google's own cookies and records aggregate data such as pages viewed, country and device type. We do not send it your name, your email or the contents of your weddings, and we do not measure private addresses (quote and unsubscribe links, or the administration panel). You can prevent this measurement with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) or by blocking cookies in your browser. In the European Union, the United Kingdom and Switzerland we only measure if you accept our cookie notice; anywhere, you can change your choice under “Cookie preferences” at the bottom of the site. For this we store your choice in your browser and a technical cookie with your region (only “EU” or “other”, without identifying you). We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
8. Your rights (ARCO) and how to exercise them
You can access, correct or delete your data, object to its processing, or withdraw your consent by writing to soporte@miplannerboda.com from your account email, stating which right you want to exercise and including the information needed to identify you. We will reply within 20 business days.
If you are a client or guest of a planner and want to exercise these rights over the data they entered, please contact that person first; if you get no answer, write to us and we will help you reach them.
If you believe your rights have been violated, you may turn to the competent personal data protection authority in Mexico.
9. Retention and security
We keep your data while your account is active and for as long as needed to meet legal obligations. You can ask us at any time to delete your account and its data.
We apply reasonable technical and administrative security measures: encrypted connections, separation of information by organization and role-based permissions (owner and collaborators). No system is completely infallible, so we recommend strong passwords and not sharing your access.
10. Minors
The service is aimed at professionals and not at people under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors as users.
11. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice. We will publish the current version on this page with its last update date and, if the change is significant, let you know through the app or by email.
